Shipyards
Bousted Langkawi Shipyard Sdn Bhd ( ex WaveMaster):
Provides full superyacht and megayacht repair and refit facilities. Minimum depth of seven metres at low tide. Two travelifts, 140 tons and 500 tons. Some 17,000 sq mtrs of hardstand area, also two fully insulated and ventilated hangers, each 70 x 25 mtrs and 24 mtrs high, with reinforced concrete slab floors with 800-ton capacity. Two overhead remote-controlled gantry cranes with hoist capacity of 5 tons each. Adjoining carpentry, aluminium, electrical and mechanical workshops, each with individual overhead remote-controlled gantry cranes with hoist capacity of 1.5 tons. Staff of naval architects and engineers will design for new builds, conversions, and major overhauls, backed up by design team at WaveMaster head office in Australia. Also has berthing for yachts of 13 -70 mtrs, with water, three-phase shore power & telecommunications. Petrol and diesel available. Lockers, washrooms, showers, chandlery, supermarket, and 24-hour security. Charter service includes luxury power and sailing yachts from 27 to 48 metres. By sea: In channel southwest of Bass Harbour, Pulau Jerkum Kechii is offshore. By road: West of Kuah, on Jln Bukit Malut, (road to Pantai Cenang).
