JOINED INTIATIVE OF LANGKAWI GAZETTE AND FRENCH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE – MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE

THE DATAI LANGKAWI
With a strategic location, thriving economy, great infrastructure, skilled affordable workforce and investor-friendly policies, Malaysia and Singapore are increasingly becoming an attractive base for foreign companies. At the present, more than 5,000 foreign businesses operate in Malaysia while 7,000 international corporations chose Singapore as one of their key hub locations. With a variety of incentives aiming to further boost foreign investment, the trend is expected to continue.
As most expats are based in fast-paced cities, craving to escape the concrete jungle and traffic jam – if smartly marketed, Langkawi could become their REGULAR weekend hideaway! A prospect especially appealing when taking into consideration the seasonal fluctuation Langkawi-based businesses experience throughout the year.
To boost the rather limited number of expat travelers visiting our island, Langkawi Gazette teamed up with the Malaysian & Singaporean French Chamber of Commerce, who will share with the subscribers of their monthly newsletter an exclusive LANGKAWI FEATURE that not only praises the archipelago’s natural beauty but highlights also selected businesses under French management – promising ‘La joie de vivre’ experience à la Langkawi.
With the newsletter distributed among 4,600 French expats in leadership positions and further disseminated among the employees of their companies, we should soon get to hear the charming ‘merci beaucoup’ when strolling about the island!

Planning a similar collaboration with expat associations of AUSTRALIA, UNITED KINGDOM & GERMANY, we call on businesses owned or managed by those born in the respective countries.
