at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club
Hocus Pocus Building in front of Charlie Place Restaurant.
Opening reception on the 23th of January at 5pm.

My name is Nadia. I recently landed in Malaysia after an art show in Shanghai. I am presently the artist in residence on Damaiindah.com. Captain Eva and her Indonesian vessel adopted me last October, since then they nurture my art. I am very inspired by Langkawi, my experience on the boat, the beautiful landscape and the people. I contribute to the multi cultural environment by offering to your eyes some of my work, displayed in different places in the Yacht Club.  There are some paintings also at the Blue Water Star Sailing office. I will be painting a mural in the employee cafeteria at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club and an much more is coming: Watch for Art.

Welcome every body
This is my new series of painting enamel on wood, freshly inspired by my stay in Kuah. Most of the pieces have been painted on recycled wood or sail found at the Yacht Club. To paint on an object that already has been marked by weather and time, inspires me. As an artist, I like to be a catalyst for imagination, I express emotion with color and textures  and create motion and meaning of life. I always liked abstract art for the openness of the interpretation, and the sense of freedom.
The viewer see the painting according to there own personality.  I am very enthusiastic to share my art at the Yacht Club and hope to contribute with a good vibe by creating beauty.
